UTE NOTES:
Standout junior Dustin Pimm did not compete in the District 7 Shootout due to a bulging disk, and will miss the Barona Cup as well. Coaches will work this winter to prepare Pimm for the spring. Dustin ends his fall season with a stroke average of 70.11 ... Pimm's injury has prompted Ute coaches to pull Chance Cota out of his redshirt season to help bolster the roster ... Utah started the fall ranked 149th in the nation and is currently ranked 61st ... Nicholas Larson is 10th in the Mountain West in stroke average at 71.75 ... The Utes will begin the spring season on February 21, 2007 at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Honolulu, Hawaii.
QUOTING COACH MCCRACKEN:
"We've had a pretty good fall, and the season has gone well overall," says coach McCracken. " We've got to be pleased with how we've moved up in the rankings, even though we've played the past couple tournaments without Dustin."
