RENO, Nev. - Utah continued its strong play Monday at the Wolf Pack Invitational, ending the day in sole possession of first place. The Utes fired rounds of 283 and 279 to finish the day at fourteen-under-par. Iowa State occupies second place, trailing the Utes by two strokes at twelve-under-par.
"We played some good golf today," said Coach Randall McCracken. "Hopefully we can continue that tomorrow."
Utah's Dustin Pimm leads the tournament after Monday's opening two rounds. Pimm carded back-to-back rounds of 66 to finish at twelve-under-par heading into Tuesday. Nick Travers of Boise State sits in second at nine-under-par. Nic Larson also played well for Utah, scoring rounds of 71 and 67 to tie for fourth at six-under-par. Four of Utah's five golfers finished the day in the top 50.
