The NCAA regional championship meet is around the corner and the following Utes have set regional qualifying marks:
Candice Workman-Ekberg (shot put, discus) Amanda Feigt (long jump) Vanessa Mortensen (hammer) Nephi Tyler (1,500m)
QUOTING CO-HEAD COACH Brian Appell:
"After last weekend's stellar performances, we will look to strive for personal records. Our goal, this year, is to give those athletes with legitimate shots at qualifying for the first round of the NCAA Championships an opportunity to compete at the next level. We have a lot of talented young athletes who are coming along in their development. Over the next few years they will also get opportunities to make an impact on the national scene."
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Next, the Utes will compete in the Cougar II Invitational in Provo, Utah. Competition will kick off on April 30.
