On the first half: "The first-half was an example of both teams not shooting well. Things come easier when your shot is falling and it's tough to come out cold. All you can do is stay consistent with the other factors to win the game when your shot isn't dropping."
On the positives, despite poor shooting early:"We played great defense and rebounded well tonight. We also decreased our turnovers, which is something we have struggled with this season."
On the team's play:"We are deeper this season and that allows us to play more of our girls. We don't have to rely on Kim (Smith) and Shona (Thorburn) to win games. We are beginning to play better as a team."
Utah Senior Guard Shona Thorburn
On her performance tonight: "I've been struggling a little in the last few games, but I tried to be more aggressive and look for my shot tonight. Kim wasn't shooting as well as she usually does. We are used to her scoring 20 points a night, so the team had to step up."
On the in-state rivalry with WSU: "We always come out to play with in-state rivals and I thought we did that tonight. We were running the ball well in the second half and we were executing better. Shooting and offense you can't control, but rebounding, making passes and defense can be controlled and we focused on that."

Overall reaction: "The entire game was established by our lack of boxing out. Utah crashed the offensive boards. We'd take one shot and back-pedal down the court. They'd miss one shot and were taking a second and third. That's effort, that's heart. It's that killer instinct. Utah had it, we didn't."
On her team's offensive showing: "There was a lack of execution on the offensive side. That's partly due to a young and inexperienced team. But Utah's defense will take advantage of that."
