Scottsdale, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team sits in fourth-place after two rounds of competition at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. Utah shot a team score of four-over-par, 564 on Monday. The Utes put up a first round 281 and followed that with a 283 in the second round. Luke Swilor leads the way for the Utes at one-under-par through two rounds. Swilor shot a first round 70, followed by a second round 69, leaving him in seventh-place, three-strokes off the leaders.
Both Garrett Clegg and Casey Fowles are tied for 23rd at two-over-par. Clegg finished with rounds of 69 and 73, while Fowles shot a first round 67, but followed that up with a 75 in the second round. Carl Jensen is at five-over-par, 145 (70-75) and Ashdon Woods finished at six-over-par, 146 (75-71), rounding out the scoring for the Utes.
UCLA leads the tournament at 10-under-par, 550. There are four individuals tied for the lead at four-under-par.
The final round of competition will tee-off on Tuesday morning at the Talking Stick-North Golf Course.
