NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The University of Utah men's golf team is tied for eighth after the first round of the Countrywide Intercollegiate hosted by Cal State Northridge. Utah finished is tied with Wyoming at 295 (+7). The second was not completed Monday due to darkness. Play will resume at the 72-par Wood Ranch Golf Club.
Utah is lead by freshman Dustin Pimm, who shot two-under par in the first round to finish the day tied for fifth. Senior Ashdon Woods and freshman Chris Gresh finished the day tied for 34th after shooting a 74 (+2) in the first round.
Redshirt freshman Chace Bickmore finished at five-over par (77) to place tied for 61st. Nick Carter finished at six-over par to finish the day tied for 64th.
