COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the Falcon Invitational on Sunday. Utah finished in second-place with a team score of five-under-par, 862 (289-287-286), three-strokes behind the winner. The Utes were led by Luke Swilor who finished in second individually with a three-round total of six-under, 210 (71-68-71), only three-strokes behind the tournament winner.
Other Utes in action included Garrett Clegg who finished in third with a two-under, 214 (72-72-70). Carl Jensen finished 23rd after he shot a four-over, 220 (72-75-73), and both Ashdon Woods and Steve Newren put up a score of six-over, 222, tying them for 29th.
Texas-San Antonio won the tournament with a team score of five-under. The Utes jumped from third after two rounds to finish in second with a final round of 286. Next up for Utah is the Ron Moore Classic on Sept. 28-30.
