GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational on Monday. Utah is currently in sixth place with a team score of six-over-par, 582 (285-297). Leading the way for the Utes in 11th is Luke Swilor who shot a one-under, 143 (68-75).
Ashdon Woods is in 20th with a one-over, 145 (72-73), while Casey Fowles is in 27th at two-over, 146 (70-76). Steve Newren shot a five-over, 149 and Garrett Clegg added a six-over, 150 for the Utes.
Utah trails by 19 strokes going into the final round which will be held Tuesday at the Palm Valley GC.
