PROVO, Utah - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Cougar Classic on Friday with a team score of four-under-par, 572 (283-289). The Utes are in fourth place going into the final round. Leading the way for Utah is Casey Fowles and Luke Swilor who each shot a two-under, 142 and are tied for sixth.
Both Ashdon Woods and Steve Newren shot a one-over, 145 tying them for 16th and Garrett Clegg is in 23rd with his three-over, 147.
Utah is five strokes back of co-leaders Denver and Brigham Young. The final round will tee off Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Riverside Country Club.
