TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's tennis team finished their road trip through Arizona yesterday, dropping a match to the Arizona Wildcats. The loss to the nations 48th best team sets the Utes back to 3-4 on the season.
The Utes agian were close in the doubles point, with two 8-6 losses. Roeland Brateanu, facing his former Arizona team mates for the first time since transferring to Utah, and Nick Coutts teamed to defeat Paul Warkentin and Carl Hagman 8-4. However, in the best of three format, the Utes were unable to capture the doubles point.
The Utes were again only able to capture one win out of the six singles matches, this time in the six spot with Kaisorn Chaichana defeating Tim Mullane in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 match. In other singles matches, Daniel Lohff extended Colin O'Grady to three sets, but wasn't able to close out in a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 loss.
