Upcoming Event: Men's Golf versus Southwestern on January 26, 2026

THIS WEEK:
The University of Utah golf team will travel to Reno, Nev. for the Wolf Pack Invitational on Oct. 6-7, followed by a trip to Fresno, Calif. for the Fresno Lexus Classic on Oct. 10-11. The lineup for this week will include Luke Swilor, Garrett Clegg, Steve Newren, Carl Jensen, and Casey Fowles. Nick Summers will be the sixth member of the team for the Fresno Lexus Classic.
THE FIELD:
Each tournament will be a two day event consisting of 54 holes, 36 on day one and 18 on the final day. Utah has never before competed in the Wolf Pack Invitational. Last year at the Fresno Lexus Classic the Utes finished in 12th place with a team score of 27-over-par (891).
LOOKING BACK AT THE RON MOORE CLASSIC:
Utah is coming off a fifth place finish at the Ron Moore Classic on Sept. 29-30. The team shot a total score of nine-over, 873 (293-284-296). Utah was led by Garrett Clegg who shot an even-par, 216 (73-69-74).
UTE NOTES:
Utah's best finish of the season was a second place finish at the Falcon Invitational on Sept. 19-21. The Fresno Lexus Classic was a late addition to the fall schedule and will include some of the top golf teams from around the nation.
QUOTING HEAD COACH Wayne Fisher:
"This is a big week for the golf team, were coming off a mediocre performance last week and are anxious to get back to competition. With back-to-back tournaments we look to get off to a good start and improve on our performance last week."
