SUNRIVER, Ore.- The University of Utah men's golf team finished eighth at the Mountain West Conference Championships. The Utes slipped in the final round finishing with a 295. Overall, the Utes finished with a 21-over 885.
UNLV finished first with a three-over 867 followed by New Mexico (869), Brigham Young (873), San Diego State (874), Wyoming (879), Colorado State (879) and Air Force (881).
Luke Swilor led the Utes once again finishing tied for tenth place at three-over par (219) with a one-over 73 in the final round. Ashdon Woods finished with a 75 in the third round to finish tied for 20th overall at six-over (222).
Senior Paul Winterowd and junior Bruce Summerhays Jr. finished tied for 30th. Winterowd shot a 76 (four-over) in the final round and Summerhays took 75 stokes, to finish the tournament with a eight-over 224. Nick Summers scored a 72 in the third round to finish overall tied for 38th with a 14-over 230.
