SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The women's outdoor track & field team placed first (170 points) at the San Diego State Invitational. In addition to SDSU, Utah competed against Southern Utah, Cal State Sacramento and Cal State Dominguez Hill. The Utes have had an outstanding season in 2002. Elise Greenwood finished first (10:16.99) in the 3,000-meter run and first (4:42.56) in the 1,500-meter run. Nellie Hammons place third (2:13.89) in the 400-meter dash. April Jackson took second (14.87) in the 100-meter high hurdles and Kristy Slade placed fourth (15.10) in the 100-meter high hurdles. Next, the Utes will travel to Logan, Utah to compete in the Utah State Invitational on Apr. 20. Utah will look to continue their success in Logan.
