CALIMESA, Calif.- The University of Utah men's golf team finished 13th at the Anteater Invitational. The Utes shot a three-round score of 927 to finish 63-over par. St. John's University won the tournament with a score of 884 (20-over par).
Sophomore Luke Swilor led the Utes by finishing tied for 36th place at 13-over par. Swilor finished the first round two-over par (74) before taking 78 and 77 strokes in the second and third rounds respectively. Paul Winterowd finished tied for 49th with a score of 232 (16-over par). Bruce Summerhays Jr. finished one stroke behind Winterowd to place 52nd while Nick Micek finished 61st (22-over par). Jason Shepherd finished 23-over par to tie for 65th place.
The Utes will return to action at the Thunderbird Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 8-9.
