The University of Utah men's golf team finished the first day of competition at the USD Invitational in 13th place. Utah shot a two-round score of 640. San Diego State holds the lead going into the final day of competition with 587 strokes.
Luke Swilor finished the day tied for 28th place. Swilor shot one over-par in the first round (73), but struggled in the second round by taking 82 strokes to finish the day at eleven over-par (155).
