THIS WEEK: Erianne Allen, Shanae Nixon, Jennifer Bacon and Kristy Slade compete at the Azusa Pacific Heptathlon at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. on April 19-20.
Teren Jameson, (B.J.) Brad Christenson, Erik Vernon and Johanna Nielsen compete at the Mt. SAC Relays at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. on April 20.
Charity Catmull, Chantel Goldsberry, April Jackson, Colby Frazier and Nellie Hammons compete at the Pamona Pitzer Invitational at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in Claremont, Calif. on April 20. Charity Catmull and Chantel Goldsberry compete at the Long Beach State Invitational on April 21.
Those track and field members not listed compete at the Utah State Invitational at Utah State University in Logan, Utah on April 21.
LAST WEEK: Chantel Goldsberry, Erianne Allen and Audrey Kiser earned wins at the San Diego State Invitational in San Diego, Calif on April 14, 2001. Goldsberry finished first in the hammer throw with 178'06.00 feet, Allen finished first in the javelin throw with133'10.00 and Kiser finished first in the shot put with 46'06.00.
COACH JONES ON THE TEAM: "We've split the team up to ensure each athlete gets one more tough competition before we compete in Provo. We're especially trying to provisionally qualify our top athletes for the NCAA Championships," said Coach Mike Jones.
UP NEXT FOR THE UTES: The Utes compete at the Clarence Robinson Invitational at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah on May 4-5.
