Upcoming Event: Skiing at 10K Classic (I) on January 4, 2026

The nordic competition of the University of Utah Skiing Invitational opened up competition Monday, Jan. 15 at Soldier Hollow with the men's 10K and women's 5K classical skiing events.
The University of Denver jumped out to a huge lead after the first day of cross country competition over second place Colorado. Utah currently sits third, heading into Tuesday's freestyle events.
Pat Casey provided the Utes with their best performance of the day with his seventh place finish. Torin Koos and Ryan Quinn gave Utah 14th and 17th place finishes, respectively.
The women's team was led by, first-year Ute competitor, Ingrid-Anne Ingvoldstad, who finished 12th overall in the 5k. Kristina Joder finished in 15th place, followed by Kristina Joder in 16th. No points were awarded to Utah's Lene Pedersen, Utah's fourth finisher, who finished 19th.
The invitational will be wrapped up on Tuesday, Dec. 16 with the men's 30K and women's 15K freestyle. Utah finished third overall in last weekend's alpine events, behind Colorado and Denver.
