The University of Utah men's golf team placed eighth at the Wolfpack classic with a two round score of 610. The tournament was shortened from three to two rounds due to cold weather and high winds on Monday.
Paul Winterowd led the Utes with a 5-over par 147, finishing eighth. He was the only Ute to finish in the top 25. Bruce Summerhays, Jr. finished 47th in his first tournament for the Utes.
The Utes were tied for second after the first round with a score of 300, but then shot a 310 in the second round, dropping them to eighth with their 42-over par score. The University of Nevada won the tournament with a score of 579, 11-over par.
