Individual results were mixed for the Utes. There were some surprisingly high finishes along with some other disappointing results. Injuries and disqualifications disabled some skiers, resulting in Utah's third place team finish. Tina Kavcic lead the women's alpine team with a fifth and seventh place finish in the slalom and giant slalom. Freshman Liz Sherry earned second place in the giant slalom and turned in the meet's best slalom time in her first run. Due to a crash in her second, she finished a misleading 42nd in the slalom. This was Sherry's first collegiate competition. Markus Leunig compiled two fourth place finishes to lead the Utes alpine team. Twins Rune and Frode Kollerud lived up to high expectations with their top finishes in nordic competition.
