UTAH: Originally a walk-on safety, he led Utah in tackles his junior and senior years as the starting middle linebacker ... two-time all-conference selection was second-team all-MWC in 2010 and honorable mention all-Pac-12 in 2011 ... only member of Utah's 2011 senior class who played in all 52 games from 2008-11 ... started 26 games in his career ... earned four letters.
2011-Honorable mention all-Pac-12 ... started all 13 games at middle linebacker ... finished second in the Pac-12 in total tackles (118) while ranking third in tackle average (9.1) ... led Utah in tackles in eight games, reaching double figures in six ... season-high 15 tackles (1.0 TFL) to lead all tacklers in Utah's Sun Bowl victory over Georgia Tech ... 13 tackles against Colorado ... 12 tackles and a pass breakup against Washington ... 11 tackles against USC ... finished the season with two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and 3.5 TFL.
