Utes in the Pros: Week 1

SALT LAKE CITY – At long last, the NFL's regular season has arrived and 11 games on the opening week's schedule are expected to feature at least one Utah Football alumnus.
Overall, a total of 30 Pro Utes are on team rosters throughout the NFL with 22 alumni on active rosters. It'll be a special week for rookies Dallen Bentley (Denver), Spencer Fano (Cleveland), Caleb Lomu (New England) and Tanoa Togiai (Washington). Fano and Lomu were each selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, while Bentley and Togiai each made their clubs' active rosters after signing as undrafted free agents.
In addition to the field, former Utah Utes are making their mark on NFL sidelines as well. Former quarterback Brian Johnson (2004-08) is now on the Los Angeles Rams' staff as a senior offensive assistant, while Utah signal-caller Mike McCoy (1992-94) has joined the Las Vegas Raiders as assistant head coach.
