SALT LAKE CITY – Utah men's basketball announced roster moves for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
The Runnin' Utes have added Northern Iowa guard Trey Campbell – who has been cleared to practice with the team as he pursues a fifth year of eligibility. The Iowa native comes to Salt Lake City after spending the past four seasons with the Panthers.
Utah guard Noam Yaacov was deemed ineligible to compete for the 2026-27 season after his NCAA waiver was appealed and denied on Thursday, Aug. 20.
"We'd like to thank everyone who worked so diligently throughout this process," Utah head men's basketball coach Alex Jensen said. "Given the outcome, Noam will pursue other playing opportunities, and we wish him the very best moving forward. We are excited to welcome Trey to the Runnin' Utes family and look forward to his contributions to our program."

- Was named the 2026 MVC Tournament MOP and is a two-time All-MVC recipient and 2026 MVC All-Defensive Team honoree
- Totaled 134 career games (132 starts) while averaging 10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists
- Helped Northern Iowa earn and NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2016 as a senior
- Became the first player in UNI history to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists
