Evan VanBrocklin and
Elias Petersen and junior
Nick Chirafisi will represent the University of Utah at the NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Atlanta this week after the women's championships were held in McAuley Aquatic Center last week.
Chirafisi will compete in the 200, 500 and 1650 Free, VanBrocklin will swim in the 100 Fly, 200 Fly and 200 IM, and Petersen will compete on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards.

Utah has had success in its first two postseason competitions of 2026.
Big 12 Championships
- Chirafisi and VanBrocklin were a part of the record-setting 800 Free relay team that set the school record with a 6:17.20, taking bronze. Chirafisi also broke his own program record in the 200 Free with his leadoff stint of 1:33.63, then broke it again with a 1:33.60 later in the week
- Chirafisi also claimed the program record in the 500 Free, winning gold with a 4:13.48 swim
- VanBrocklin's 1:43.80 in the 200 IM won gold and marked the second-fastest time by a Ute in program history.
- VanBrocklin set the program record in the 100 Fly at the Big 12 Championships for the second year in a row, touching the wall in 45.69.
- Petersen won gold on 1-meter took second on 3-meter while setting a new personal best, and finished sixth on platform.
NCAA Zone E Championships
- Petersen took second on 1-meter, fifth on 3-meter and 17th on platform inside the Wall Athletic Center in Flagstaff to advance to NCAAs for the fourth time in his career. He also led the men's diving team to gold in the team event.

Since joining the Big 12 prior to last season, Utah has claimed 20 weekly awards, 13 of which have come from divers. Petersen leads all Utes with five weekly awards, all Diver of the Week nods, and was recognized as the conference's Diver of the Year a season ago.
