Utes Pick Up a 4-0 Win vs Montana

SALT LAKE CITY— The University of Utah men's tennis team picked up a 4-0 victory over Montana.
DOUBLES
The Utes started the match strong by taking the doubles point. AJ Deem and Lorenzo Esquici picked up a 6-1 victory on the No. 3 court. Newcomer Balthazar Huss and captain Dante Teramo clinched doubles point with a 6-3 win in the No. 1 court.
As the Utes clinched doubles points, Emmett Potter and Charles Frey remained unfinished at the No. 2 spot.
SINGLES
In singles action, Frey picked up the first singles point of the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Moritz Lesjak in the No. 6 spot. Teramo was not far behind as he picked up a 6-4, 7-6 (2) win over Montana's Tom Bittner at the No. 1 court.
At the No. 4 spot, Huss won 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 over the Grizzlies Matt Upton to clinch the Utes' win.
The rest of the matches remained unfinished in the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 spot.
The Utes are now 3-3 on the season.
UP NEXT
The Utes will travel to California to play San Diego State on Valentine's Day Feb. 14. Utah will then head to Tennessee for the Battle in Boro for the weekend of Feb. 20 - Feb. 22.
