Utes in the Pros: Week 5
10/8/2026 4:02 PM | Football
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Football connections are aplenty heading into Week 5 of the NFL regular season, as 30 Pro Utes are on rosters throughout the league. Of that group, 22 alumni are expected to suit up in game action this weekend.
Â
Buffalo, Cleveland, Baltimore, Minnesota and Carolina each have a Utah tie through a team member—and each club is currently atop its respective division or is tied for the lead.
Â
In addition to on the field, former Utah Utes are making their mark on NFL sidelines as well. Former quarterback Brian Johnson (2004-08) is now on the Los Angeles Rams' staff as a senior offensive assistant, while Utah signal-caller Mike McCoy (1992-94) has joined the Las Vegas Raiders as assistant head coach.
