The Women of Utah will close out their regular-season this Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Nuttycombe Invitational.
SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 14 Utah women's cross country team will compete in its final regular-season race this Saturday, Oct. 9, at the annual Nuttycombe Invitational – which can be seen on RunnerSpace+. Gun is slated to go off at 9:30 a.m. (MDT) for the championships race on the Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course with the "B" race set to start at 11:50 a.m.

The Women of Utah will send 12 competitors to the Nuttycombe Invitational this Saturday, Oct. 9, and will split the teams between the "Championship" race and the "B" race. Of the 12 competing, Rebecca O'Keefe will be the lone Ute making her season debut. Meanwhile, Saturday's race will include 16 teams in the USTFCCCA Top-25 with an additional two in the top-30.

REWIND IN VERONA
Utah finished last season 10th at the Nuttycombe Invitational 316 points and was led by Erin Vringer in 12th (20:03.6) and Annastasia Peters in 24th (20:21.5). Millie Wilcox was Utah's third scorer in 85th (21:00.8) followed by Kyla Martin (21:07.7) and Emily Junginger (21:08.4) in 96th and 99th, respectively. Marika Couture was the sixth-best finisher for Utah at 126th-place overall (21:22.7).

Heading into the final race of the regular-season, the Utes hold steady at No. 14 in week 3 of the USTFCCCA National Polls. The Utes also checked in at No. 14 in the week 2 rankings and is 1-of-6 Big 12 teams ranked this week.

VENTERS CAPTURES NATIONAL TITLE
Former Utah All-American Emily Venters captured the USATF 10km Championship this past Saturday, running a meet record 31:09. The Kansan native took the lead from start of the race and never looked back, leading the entire race and winning by 48 seconds.

With the regular-season wrapped up, Utah turns its attention towards the championships season – which will kick off once again on Halloween morning. Oklahoma State will place host to this year's Big 12 Cross Country Championships at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course with the gun slated to go off at 9 a.m. (MDT) on ESPN+.
