SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Men's Golf will start
its 2025-26 season ranked No. 25 according to Golfweek's preseason rankings. They are one of seven Big 12 teams to make the publication's Top 30.
The Utes had a record-setting season in 2024-25, earning four team titles and six individual crowns, the most in program history under a single season. Before last year, the program had totaled eight team tournament titles in its 34-year history.
Utah began last season ranked No. 54 in the country the NCAA Regionals in spring of 2024 and shot up inside the top 15 for the first time in program history. Utah reached as high as No. 10 for the first time in the program's history by the end of Oct. 2024 and repeated the feat in Feb. 2025.
The Utes finished their 2024-25 campaign as one of four Big 12 programs inside the top 20 (No. 17) with National Champion Oklahoma State, No. 3 Arizona State, and No. 19 BYU.
Utah also had two players in the individual rankings with
Gabriel Palacios concluding last season as the 49
th men's college golfer in the country while
Sergio Jimenez ranked at No. 57.
