Dear Utah Athletics Family,
I want to share some great news with you today, and express my gratitude for the vital role you play in the success of our student-athletes—in the classroom, in competition and in our community.
This week the NCAA released its annual Graduation Success Rate (GSR) report, and
Utah Athletics achieved a 95-percent GSR, matching last year's department record-tying score and tying for the third-highest score among all power conference public universities. It marks the third time we have scored 95-percent (2018, '24 and '25), and we have hit 93-percent or higher for eight consecutive years. You can read more about the significance of this accomplishment
here.
Achieving a 95-percent GSR is an incredible indicator of the support and the world-class experience that our student-athletes receive at the University of Utah. Our number one priority, alongside the health and well-being of our students, is to provide the opportunity for them to achieve their goal of earning a degree – or two! – from this incredible institution and prepare them for success in life beyond our campus.
YOUR SUPPORT MAKES THIS POSSIBLE
An achievement like this does not happen without your support. When you invest in Utah Athletics – whether buying tickets, donating to the Crimson Club, making a transformational gift or contributing to
Athletics Excellence Fund year-end campaign – you are investing in the lives of these remarkable students and providing the tools and resources to help them achieve their highest goals.
Not a day goes by that we don't see the life-changing impact of scholarships for our student-athletes. It is more important than ever for us to continue to engage with our loyal supporters and emphasize the critical need we have to continue to invest and grow our athletics programs, and the impact you make through your support.
FALL SPORTS SUCCESS, FOLLOW THE UTES!
This fall we have seen tremendous achievements from our teams, and the winter sports are now underway, as well. The football program is 8-2 and has all of their highest postseason goals still in front of them, and our cross-country program is competing this Saturday at the NCAA Championship meet, qualifying as a team for the fifth year in a row. Men's basketball and women's Basketball are both underway, and our perennial NCAA Championship-contending gymnastics team joins them in the Huntsman Center within the next month. Every sport is putting in the work daily to achieve success, and we encourage you to keep up with all of them through our
website, the
Utah 360 app and by following our
social media accounts.
SEE THE UTES IN ACTION
Large and energetic crowds at our home games also play an enormous role in creating the very best student-athlete experience. We love seeing all of you in our home venues—and on the road—and encourage you to continue to help grow our fanbase by sharing that experience with others. Purchase season tickets, or choose from various mini-plans and single-game ticket options, all of which can be found at
utahtickets.com or through the
Utah 360 app.
Please share in the celebration of this exciting news of our 95-percent Graduation Success Rate, and know how thankful we are for the role you play in making this possible.
With Gratitude,
Mark Harlan
Director of Athletics
