SALT LAKE CITY—Utah Athletics has tied its highest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in department history for the second year in a row, registering a mark of 95-percent in the annual GSR report announced today by the NCAA. That figure ties for the third-highest rate among all power conference public institutions. This is Utah's eighth consecutive year at 93-percent or higher, and marks the third time the department has achieved a 95-percent figure. The report is a measure of the percentage of student-athletes who earned their undergraduate degrees within six years of enrolling.
Â
This year's 95-percent figure ties the record set in 2018 and duplicated in 2024. The department earned a 94-percent rate in 2019, 2020 and 2023, and a 93-percent rate in 2021 and 2022.
Â
"Our student-athletes compete at the highest levels and pursue championships with such great commitment, and continue to prioritize earning their degrees as the pinnacle of their experience at the University of Utah," said
Mark Harlan, Director of Athletics. "We're incredibly proud of the way they represent our institution in the classroom, competition and community, and it is especially gratifying to see their graduation rate once again tie for the highest in department history and rank among the highest in the nation. Thank you to all who support our student-athletes."
