The Utes return to Pac-12 play on Friday, March 25, hosting Oregon.
SAN DIEGO – The Utah men's tennis team concluded another weekend of play this afternoon as they faced No. 10 Harvard in a neutral site match. Despite securing the doubles point, the Utes fell short in singles and lost the match 4-1 against the Crimson.

During doubles play, the Utah squad showed an excellent performance. On court three, Mathias Gavelin and Jayson Blando downed the Crimson duo 6-3. Then, Utah's No. 1 doubles team defeated Harvard's Daniel Milavsky and Brian Shi 6-4, awarding Utah the first point in the match.

As the team moved to singles, the Utes faced some tough competition. On court five, the opposition took the upper hand against Utah's Bruno Krenn for scores of 6-3, 6-4. On court six, J. Blando dropped his match 6-4, 6-3, breaking the one-point tie and placing Harvard in the lead.

Franco Capalbo faced No. 23 ITA-ranked player Henry von der Schulenberg and put up an admirable fight on court one. His match was also taken by the Crimson, finishing 6-4, 6-3. The match point came on court three, where No. 118 Geronimo Espin Busleiman faced No. 35 Harris Walker but lost 6-4, 6-4, clinching the match in Harvard's favor.

On court two, Francisco Bastias had taken the first set, dropped the second, and was 2-3 in the third set when the match was clinched. Similarly, Bruno Caula had locked himself in battle with the opponent on court four, each with a 6-4 set, but the match remained unfinished.
