FIRST SERVE
The Utah beach volleyball team is set to host its first ever home event this Saturday, April 13. In the third year of the program, the Utes will compete in Salt Lake City for the first time in the Utah Beach Classic. Utah will welcome Boise State and Colorado Mesa to Ute Beach for the historic day in the program.

The Utes will take on Colorado Mesa in the first dual of the tournament with the first serve at 10 a.m. MT. Colorado Mesa and Boise State will go head-to-head at 1 p.m. MT, while Utah and Boise State will close out Saturday's event at 4 p.m. MT. All matches will be played at Ute Beach.

FAN FACTS
Fans are encouraged to come be a part of the first ever home matches for the Utah beach volleyball team. Ute Beach is located on the University of Utah campus and is Northwest of the Student Life Center and directly West of the McCarthey Family Track and Field. Parking is free and there is no charge of admission.

ABOUT BOISE STATE
Boise State heads to Salt Lake City holding a 10-5 record on the season. The Broncos are currently on a five-match win streak and more recently have won three straight after sweeping the competition at the Sacramento State tournament with wins over Sacramento State, Pacific, and UC Davis. Kendra Bodine and Janell Walley lead the Broncos with an overall pair record of 11-4, with seven wins coming as the No. 1 pairing. This is the first meeting between Boise State and Utah.

ABOUT COLORADO MESA
Colorado Mesa is currently 3-6 on the year with wins coming against Benedictine University, Nebraska, and CSU Bakersfield. Three different pairs for Colorado Mesa have won three matches in their season, those being the No. 1, No. 4, and No. 5 pairs. This will be the first meeting between Colorado Mesa and Utah, while this is the second time of the season that Boise State and Colorado Mesa will match up. Boise State took the first meeting 5-0 in late February.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah saw action at the GCU and ASU tournaments this past weekend where the Utes went 2-4. The Utes picked up a 3-2 win against Long Beach City College on Friday at the Grand Canyon Tournament with Utah's top three pairs getting it done to win the team dual. On Sunday at the Arizona State Tournament, Utah earned a sweep against Abilene Christian and did not drop a single set.

Megan Yett led the Utes with three pair wins on the weekend in Arizona and were the only duo to get a win against Arizona State. It was the pair's team-high fifth win of the season, all coming in the No. 2 position.

UP NEXT
The Utah beach volleyball team will head to the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships on Thursday, April 25. The three-day conference tournament will be held at Merle Norman Stadium in Los Angeles and will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
