THE GAME
The University of Utah women's basketball program is ready for game two of the Bank of Hawaii Classic as they take on the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners on Sunday, Nov. 24. The game is set to tip off at 3 p.m. MT in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Stan Sheriff Center.
TOURNAMENT PLAY
The Utah women's basketball program has played in a non-conference tournament twice since
Lynne Roberts took the helm. They hold a 3-2 record when playing in a non-conference tournament under the direction of Roberts, winning three games at the Duel in the Desert in 2018-19 (Florida, Hawaii), dropping two games at the Junkaroo Jam in 2015-16 (Oklahoma, Boston College) and winning their first game against Texas Southern (61-52) in the Bank of Hawaii Classic.
NEXT UP
The Utes will return to the Beehive State on Nov. 29 when they head to in-state rival BYU on Friday, Nov. 29. The Utes and the Cougars will tip off at 7 p.m. MT in the Marriott Center on BYU TV.
THREE POINTERS
• The Utes have had three different leading scorers and six different players reach double digits this season.
• Utah has had two different players achieve double-doubles in the last two games (
Niyah Becker, 17 pts-10 rbs vs. Eastern Washington;
Lola Pendande, 14 pts-12 rbs vs. Texas Southern).
• Utah signed two ESPN Top 100 recruits and the No. 13 overall recruit out of Canada on National Signing Day with the class ranking No. 20 nationally on ESPN.com.
HOW TO TUNE IN
There will be no video stream of Utah's game against UTSA at the Bank of Hawaii Tournament, but live stats will be available on UtahUtes.com. Fans can also tune in on ESPN 700 and listen to in to play-by-play announcer Tyson Ewing call the shots.
