SAN FRANCISCO - Utah sophomore Adora Anae has been named the Pac-12 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Anae helped guide the Utes to a pair of wins over Oregon and Oregon State this past weekend, averaging 6.00 kills per set on .252 hitting, while also collecting 3.25 digs and 6.38 points per set. Anae tallied 20 kills, 16 digs and two blocks in Utah's 3-1 victory over Oregon. In a 3-1 win versus Oregon State, Anae broke the school's single-match kills record during the rally-scoring era for the third time this season, posting 28 kills and chipping in 10 digs. Anae also did not have a single receiving error in 58 attempts over the weekend. Anae is tied for the most double-doubles in the league with 14 on the season and is ranked 25th in the country with 4.26 kills per set.
This is Anae's second-career weekly honor and the seventh all-time for Utah.
