SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Utah's Tereza Bekerova was honorably mentioned as the Pac-12 Conference announced its postseason women's tennis all-conference teams.
Bekerova is the third Ute to receive all-conference honors from the Pac-12 and joins Sarah Pham (2011, MWC; 2013, Pac-12) and Paige Miles (2010-11, MWC) as a two-time conference award winner . Bekerova has a chance to become the first three-time award winner since Anastasia Putilina (2009-11, MWC; 2012, Pac-12).
The junior from Prague competed in the ITA All-American Tennis Championships and teamed with Miles to win the ITA Mountain Region doubles title. That performance earned the pair a spot at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships this past fall.
Bekerova competed at No. 1 singles in the spring and was ranked as high as No. 74 in the nation. She earned many wins for the Utes this season, including decisions against No. 26 Denise Starr of Cal, No. 80 Despoina Vogasari of Houston and No. 116 Elizaveta Luzina of Washington State.
