PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - The University of Utah's Tereza Bekerova, ranked No. 73, fell to the No. 3 national seed Hayley Carter of North Carolina Thursday (6-4, 6-1) at the 2014 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.
Bekerova, the Utes sole representative at the championships, was one of 32 student-athletes selected to compete in the main draw with the bracket including eight top-10 opponents and 10 Pac-12 Conference foes.
The Utah senior is scheduled to face Alabama's Natalia Maynetto tomorrow at 10:45 a.m. PT in the first round of the consolation bracket.
