TULSA, Okla. - Utah's 84th-ranked junior Slim Hamza prepares to hit the courts in the qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships, Monday. The 29th-seeded Hamza will take on Tulsa's Alejandro Espejo in the first round at 12 p.m. MT.
Hamza pairs up with fellow Ute junior Cedric Willems in the doubles qualifying draw on Tuesday. Willems returns to action in doubles after falling in the pre-qualifying singles draw Sunday to Florian Lagat of Mississippi State, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. Senior Alejandro Medinilla was also unable to come up with a victory and lost to Oklahoma's Austin Siegel, 6-2, 6-2.
