WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Utah Women's Tennis put the 21st Annual Tribal Invitational in the books as Sarah Richter earned a singles flight victory and two other Utes grabbed top-three finishes.
Richter grabbed a win in over Karen Forman (WF) 7-6, 6-2 to claim the Mary Catherine Murano Singles Flight title.
Luisa Garstner Da Rosa was topped in the finals by Caroline Dailey (USC), 6-0, 6-1, which landed her in the runner-up spot in the Marion Gengler Singles Flight.
Tereza Bekerova (62) defeated USC's Elixane Lechemia in two sets, 7-5, 6-4, to claim the third-place title in the Megan Moulton-Levy Singles Flight.
Sarah Pham (66) fell to her opponent, Sarah McLean (Arkansas), but was able to hold on to an eighth-place finish in her flight.
Erika Valimaki also grabbed a win for the Utes, while Callie Craig was defeated in three sets by her opponent.
Next up for the Utes is the ITA All-American, Oct. 6 in Los Angeles.
