LAS VEGAS, Nev.- Callie Craig and Sarah Pham of the University of Utah women's tennis team netted a singles win a piece on the second day of play at the UNLV Invitational Saturday, in Las Vegas, Nev. Craig defeated Julia Jones of Ole Miss 6-1, 6-3, while Pham captured a 6-4, 6-7, 10-6, win over Abby Guthrie of Ole Miss.
In the flight-1 doubles quarterfinals, the Ute sophomores dropped an 8-3 decision to Ole Miss' Erin Stephens and Gabby Rangel.
Craig and Pham will head to the 2011 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships next weekend, Oct. 1-2, in Los Angeles, Calif., where they will compete in prequalifying singles play and team up in the doubles portion as well.
