PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.- Anastasia Putilina of the University of Utah women's tennis team dropped a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, decision to sixth-ranked Zoe DeBruycker of North Carolina in the first round of main draw singles play at the 2011 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships Thursday. The Utah senior, ranked No. 64, will face 84th-ranked Katarina Gajic of Boston College in the main draw singles consolation bracket at 12:30 p.m. PT, Friday, Oct. 7.
In main draw doubles play, Putilina and junior partner Paige Miles fell in the first round to 16th-ranked Rebeca Delgado and Tatsiana Kapshai of Sacramento State, 8-2.
In the qualifying singles consolation bracket, sophomore Callie Craig dropped a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5, decision to Duke's 63rd-ranked Mary Clayton.
