Head Coach Elaine Elliott:
"We scored more in the second half. We've pulled games out in the second half. In the first half we did a lot of good things, we just didn't score. I don't have any complaints about where the ball was going or what kind of shots we were getting or the opportunities we were getting, it's just something that sometimes happens to us. Being down five [at half time] didn't really bother us. It wasn't like we weren't executing or getting the ball places, it is just something that has happened to us at various times, and you've witnessed one of them. The good news is, we really defended hard, kept the score low enough that it was close until we could get the ball into the basket."
"We had very good energy and that is what we asked. We need to know that we are the ones with the best energy time and time again in every game we play. I told them we were not displeased with what we were getting and to keep it up."
"I had my teammates to get me open and setting screens and passing the ball. It felt good. The thing in the first half of the game was that I missed shots, but once I started getting those curl shots, it started to feel good. We just kept running that same play where we just come off of a down screen and they just kept switching so it worked out well.
"It is important that we came out in the second half with the energy and went on the run instead of them. I think it was very important for us to come out with that run after half time."
"In practice we were practicing pushing the ball out. Then when we did it in the game, look what happened. We decided to play defense in the second half."
