SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team announced team award winners Wednesday. Senior Wes Hancock received the award for MVP.
The award for most improved player was given to junior Timmy Allin, and most inspirational player was awarded to sophomore CJ Adamson.
The Utes finished the season as the No. 54th-ranked team in the nation and second in the Mountain West Conference with a 16-9 overall record, 4-2 in conference. They posted big wins over No. 25 Boise State, No. 38 TCU, No. 63 BYU, No. 71 Yale, No. 74 UNLV.
The No. 1 doubles team of Hancock and junior Phillip Eilers finish their season as the No. 48th-ranked doubles team in the nation with a 16-2 overall record.
