LAS VEGAS, Nev.-The University of Utah women's tennis team completed their final day of play at the ITA Mountain Region Championships Saturday, October 17, at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas.
Sophomore Missy Harris defeated Lais Ogata of Nevada, 6-2, 6-3, in round four of the consolation draw.
Junior Evgenia Kryuchkova, the No. 17-seed, won her consolation draw fourth round match when fellow No. 17-seed Jana Albers of UNLV withdrew due to illness.
In round three of the doubles consolation draw the doubles team of sophomore Anastasia Putilina and freshman Paige Miles won their match when new New Mexico State's seventh-seeded team of Aleksa Costa and Sophia Marks had to withdraw due to injury.
Regionals is the last tournament of the fall for the Utes. They will be back in action in January at the Virginia Invitational.
