Utah Men's Tennis Hosts Intercollegiate Tournament

SALT LAKE CITY- The University of Utah men's tennis team will host the Utah Intercollegiate Tournament Sept. 25-27. The event will be held outdoors at the Liberty Park Tennis Center in Salt Lake City.
The tournament will include participants from Bosie State, BYU, Utah State and Weber State. Play beings Thursday Sept. 25 with the first two rounds of singles and the first round doubles. The matches begin at 9 a.m. each day.
The tournament continues Friday with the singles quarterfinals and semifinals, and the doubles quarterfinals. Saturday leads off with the doubles semifinals, followed by the singles and doubles finals.
Competitors posting a loss in the first round will continue play in a consolation bracket. Nine players from Utah will be competing: John Taylor, Stephen Jacobs, Wes Hancock, Othman Zerouali-Ouariti, CJ Adamson, Benito Suriano, Timmy Allin, Jason Smits, and Phillip Eilers.
Last year at this event the Utes won main draw singles, consolation singles, and consolation doubles championships.
