PROVO, Utah - The University of Utah women's tennis program played another great day of tennis in cougar town. Elizabeth Ferris, Andrea Maughan, and Karine Bourdages will all play in the singles finals on Saturday after dominating the courts during semifinals.
Ferris overtook teammate Evgenia Kryunchkova in the quarterfinals with a straight 6-0, 6-0 win before facing Lauren Strasburger from Colorado State in the semifinals. Ferris faced the Ram for a 6-2, 6-2 victory to place her in the Flight A finals to be played on Saturday. The Ute will face Christina Doerr from BYU at 12:00 p.m. MST.
Bourdages defeated Keya Adamson from Weber State for a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the Flight B semifinals. Maughan faced teammate Dee Dee Nelson in the semifinals. The two Utes battled through two sets ending in a 6-2, 6-2 victory for Maughan. Bourdages and Maughan will face eachother on Saturday in the finals at 12:00 p.m. MST on the Cougar courts.
