SALT LAKE CITY - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the pre-season singles and doubles rankings for men's tennis on Sept. 7. Zach Ganger has been ranked No. 33 in singles No. 27 in doubles with partner Miron Mann.
Ganger, from Jacksonville, Fla., has been ranked No. 33 in the country in the pre-season poll. Ganger compiled an impressive 27-12 singles record last season as one of the Utes' top competitors. The Ute was last ranked No. 57 in the nation after his third appearance in the 2007 NCAA Championships held in May.
Mann, a senior from Ontario, Canada, teams up with Ganger to make an appearance on the pre-season doubles rankings this year. The Ute duo completed the 2006-07 season with a 15-5 record along with a No. 57 national ranking. Ganger and Mann have been ranked No. 27 in the nation in the pre-season poll. The Utes are preparing to enter their fall tournament schedule, which opens up with the University of Utah Intercollegiate on Oct. 11 in Salt Lake City.
