THIS WEEK
The University of Utah men's tennis team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. this weekend to take on San Diego State University on Friday, and U.S. Air Force Academy on Saturday.
OPPOSITION
San Diego State is currently ranked No. 52 by the ITA. The squad is currently 12-6 in dual matches and undefeated in conference play at 3-0. Markus Dickhardt will be leading the Aztecs this weekend at the No.1 slot. Dickhardt is currently ranked No. 30 in singles play, and No. 14 in doubles play with teammate Christian Groh. Last week the Aztecs defeated UNLV (6-1), No. 47 New Mexico (6-1), and No. 74 TCU (4-3).
Air Force currently holds an 11-9 overall season record and haven't played any conference matches yet. The Falcons are led by Robby Alexander at the No.1 slot, who has an overall record of 13-14. Last week the Falcons fell to UC Davis 2-5.
UTE NOTES
The University of Utah men's tennis team is currently ranked No. 72 by the ITA with an 11-8 season record and are currently 1-2 in conference play. Leading the Utes this weekend is No. 57 Zach Ganger who is 25-9 overall and 11-6 in dual match play. Last week, the Utes defeated UNLV 4-3, but fell to No. 74 TCU (2-5), and No. 47 New Mexico (2-5).
