THIS WEEK
The University of Utah men's tennis team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. this week for the Mountain West Conference Tennis Tournament. U.S. Air Force Academy will be hosting the tournament, to be held April 26-28, 2007.
The Utes will face UNLV on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. MST.
OPPOSITION
The Utes will face the No. 3 seed in the tournament, UNLV. The Rebels currently hold a No. 75 national ranking by the ITA, who last released rankings on April 17. UNLV is 10-13 in dual matches and 3-3 in conference play.
Elliot Wronski from the Rebels is currently ranked No. 87 in the country with a 14-8 dual record. Wronski has teamed up with Brett Hunter at the No. 1 slot in doubles play for a 9-11 season record.
UTE NOTES
The University of Utah men's tennis team is the No. 6 seed in the MWC tournament with a 12-10 dual match record and a 2-4 record in conference play. The team is not currently ranked by the ITA, however, new team and individaul rankings will be released on April 24, 2007.
Zach Ganger has compiled a 13-7 dual singles record this season, and currently holds a No. 52 national ranking by the ITA. Ganger teams up with Miron Mann at the top spot in doubles play. The duo has compiled a 15-4 dual record and are ranked No. 48 in the nation.
