FORT COLLINS, COLO. - The University of Utah women's tennis team finished out the weekend on a high note after taking the Wyoming Cowboys 6-1 on Sunday.

In doubles play, the Utes notched wins at both the No. 2 and No. 3 slots. Cheyenne Reveche and Emily Kwok defeated Michelle Brown and Corina Lazar, 8-4, followed by a win from Karine Bourdages and Andrea Maughan over Jamie Nelson and Sarah Summerfield, 8-3. The Utes advanced into singles play with the doubles advantage.

First to finish up in singles play on Sunday was Bourdages at the No. 6 slot. The Ute faced Jamie Nelson from the Cowboys for a 6-1, 6-0 win. Elizabeth Ferris defeated Karolina Rowinski in a straight-set battle for a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Reveche was next to finish, playing at the No. 5 slot against Andrea House from the Cowboys. At the No. 2 slot, Kwok was challenged by Sarah Summerfield from Wyoming. Summerfield shut down the Ute at 6-4, 6-2 to put the Cowboy gang on the board.

Maughan handled Michelle Brown at the No. 4 slot for a 6-0, 6-3 win. Last to finish up on the courts was Leigh Walsh. The Ute faced Corina Lazar for a three-set battle. Walsh took the first set 6-2, but let Lazar slip by with a 7-6(5) win in the second set. The Ute came back in the tie-breaker for the win (6-2, 6-7(5), 10-6)
