SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team will travel to Boise, Idaho this weekend for the 2007 Jack Taylor Tennis Invitational hosted by Boise State University. The tournament opens with singles play beginning Friday at 9:00 a.m. MST at the Appleton Tennis Center. If poor weather conditions arise, the event will be moved to the indoor courts at the Boas Tennis and Soccer Complex.
The Utes will be joined by New Mexico, Montana State, Oregon, and Boise State in the tournament. The tournament will run Friday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 7.
THE UTES
The women's tennis team was last seen in the BYU Invitational. The Utes swept two of the three events. Karine Bourdages defeated Andrea Maughan in the Flight B Singles finals for a 7-5, 6-2 win. In doubles play, Elizabeth Ferris and Leigh Walsh came out on top after a hard-fought 8-4 win over Jocelyn Jensen and Dolly Change from BYU
