The University of Utah women's tennis team will begin playing in the MWC Tournament on April 27 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time in San Diego, Calif. The Utes will take on the UNLV Rebels for the first round of the tournament.
The Opposition
The UNLV Rebels are currently ranked No. 15 by the ITA Poll that was posted on April 18. The team has a 13-6 overall record for this season and are 6-2 in conference play. Playing for the Rebels is singles player Elena Gantcheva that is currently ranked at No. 10. The Rebels will compete at the No. 3 seed.
Ute Notes
The University of Utah women's tennis team is not currently ranked by the ITA. The Utes head into competition with an 11-9 overall record and a 3-5 conference record for this season. No. 96 Elizabeth Ferris will be leading the team in competition for the tournament. The Utes will be competing as the No. 6 seed for the conference.
